What does a location manager do?
Through photographic research, the professional is responsible for finding the spaces to be used as a location, this includes facilitating, negotiating, managing schedules and serving as a mediator throughout the process.
It is also the public face of the project responsible for resolving issues that arise due to the impact of a production on the community. It monitors the entire process in these spaces, supports and cares for public or private property, ensuring that it returns to the condition in which it was received.
The location manager is responsible for the initial inspection of all intended spaces in a film, for translating the director's vision into the sensations of the scene in a viable and appropriate location, considering the necessary logistics for the operation of his production.
